Advance Accredited by ILEX for Advocacy

The College is delighted to announce that it has been accredited by the Institute of Legal Executives to run the Advocacy Rights programme. Advance principal, Adrian Mason said that he was particularly pleased that the College has been accredited for this all important course. The new rights of audience bestowed upon ILEX by the Lord Chancellor followed years of lobbying by the Institute. The enhanced rights given to Legal Executives who successfully participate in the 6 day course will put them on the same level as solicitor colleagues in their chosen discipline.
Advance intends to actively and vigorously promote the advantages of Legal Executives becoming Legal Executive Advocates. 'Not only is it a tremendous boost for a Legal Executive's career but it also represents an extremely cost effective benefit for legal employers' said Adrian. The College takes the view that it makes compelling economic sense for law firms to assist in their Legal Executives achieving these higher rights, rather than putting an unknown person through the trainee solicitor route. 'The whole process of becoming a Legal Executive Advocate is quicker and substantially cheaper for legal stakeholders' he added.
The College intends to promote this message at a series of events planned to take place from next month onwards to a Countrywide audience.
