Adrian Mason
PrincipalBorn and brought up in North Wales, law is my second career. I gained a law degree in the 1990s at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth but before that I worked as a senior manager in industry for many years working firstly in the insurance sector then in computer software. I undertook my lecturers’ training in 1999/2000 and have subsequently undertaken a MA in Education (Leadership & Management) programme.
Since 1999 I worked in the FE sector and left to take up my appointment as Principal of Advance CPD to develop professional courses for practitioners and students.
I am a Chief Examiner for ILEX and was a member of the Institute's curriculum development team and also a long time examiner for the WJEC. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. I have had a number of articles published by National newspapers and legal journals.
As for hobbies, well I am a keen golfer when I can get the time, cycle, love to travel and can think of nothing better than walking the mountains of North Wales. I also have the joy and (often) pain of being a supporter of Everton Football Club!
