This course should be considered as an alternative to the LPC. It will offer you the opportunity to become practice lawyers through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. You would become Graduate Members of ILEX in our intensive and exclusive 12 week course (9 weeks residential) commencing September 2012. No training contract needed at a fraction of the cost of the solicitor route.
Chartered Legal Executives are fully qualified lawyers doing a similar job as a solicitor. Chartered Legal Executives can:
- Become partners in firms of solicitors under the Legal Services Act 2007
- Work as autonomous practitioners
- Be Commissioners for Oaths
- Apply for judicial positions under the Tribunals, Courts & Enforcement Act 2007
- As Chartered Legal Executive Advocates have identical rights of audience in court to solicitors in their chosen area of law.
All this without needing a training contract and, at just £1995 for tuition fees at Advance CPD, a fraction of the cost of solicitor training.
