This course should be considered as an alternative to the LPC. It will offer you the opportunity to become practice lawyers through the Institute of Legal Executives. You would become Graduate Members of ILEX in our intensive 9 week course starting September 20th. 2010. No training contract needed at a fraction of the cost of the solicitor route.
Legal Executives are fully qualified lawyers doing a similar job as a solicitor. Legal Executives can:
- Become partners in firms of solicitors under the Legal Services Act 2007
- Work as autonomous practitioners
- Be Commissioners for Oaths
- Apply for judicial positions under the Tribunals, Courts & Enforcement Act 2007
- As Legal Executive Advocates have identical rights of audience in court to solicitors in their chosen area of law.
All this without needing a training contract at a fraction of the cost of solicitor training.
